Day 7 Check In

At the end of my first week of my Gospel Study Adventure I’ve come to some conclusions.  I only need one post and will post in the evenings this will free up time to write in the mornings.

So what did my morning study do for my day?

It made me more aware of the Holy Spirit and his gifts to me/us of guidance and comfort.  What a gift both are.

I’ve been enjoying an old book by R.A. Torrey called The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit--he says

It is also of the highest importance from the practical standpoint that we decide whether the Holy Spirit is merely some mysterious and wonderful power that we in our weakness and ignorance are somehow to get hold of and use, or whether the Holy Spirit is a real Person, infinitely holy, infinitely wise, infinitely mighty and infinitely tender who is to get hold of and use us.

I love how we can tell if we have the Spirit as expressed by the Prophet Joseph Smith.

They can tell the Spirit of the Lord from all other spirits; it will whisper peace and joy to their souls; it will take malice, hatred, strife and all evil from their hearts; and their whole desire will be to do good, bring forth righteousness and build up the kingdom of God.

And here is my visual for the day.
